YOUTH

Northminster's youth program combines fun and service. Our goal is for the youth to accept and care for each other as they explore their faith and how it impacts their daily lives. By including service to others in the program, we hope to help youth understand how vital it is to our faith...and to our lives.

Sunday school is held in The Loft from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. We are looking for digital pictures and will send as we get them.

Our Youth Group recently had a retreat at Kirkmont. We had a lot of fun and participated in a lot of activities, including rehearsing for our Youth Sunday. We all took part in the Challenge Course, which helps team building. Everyone had fun with it. Our Youth Sunday went very well. The sermon was about faith what is meant to us. Four of us read our own stories about our faith. We are continuing to help the Church of God on Clifton Ave. In other news, we are getting closer to our mission trip with will be to Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. We have taken part in several fundraising missions including doing the pancake breakfast, selling calendars, selling CDs of an organ concert that was held at the church, painting Aamco, among other things. We are all looking forward to it. The remodeling of our youth room (the loft) is nearly complete. It looks fantastic. Now it actually looks more modern. We have new furniture, a new flat-screen television, a new kitchen area complete with a mini-refrigerator and microwave, and more space. We also recently celebrated the graduation of three youth group members from high school: Megan Knotts, Emily Aldinger, and Mitchell Monke.
